About Chris
Chris has more than 20 years’ experience in contentious and advisory real estate, acting for investment landlords, tenants, developers, public sector bodies and entrepreneurs. Essentially, Chris is a problem solver, be that at a pre-acquisition or sale stage for property clients aiming to de-risk a transaction, or to resolve an actual dispute. Chris will always look to find an amicable resolution of disputes, but where this is not possible, he can lead litigation, arbitrations and mediations.
Chris has built a reputation for being responsive and giving straight-talking, commercial advice. He is ranked in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for Property Litigation and is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.
Chris has extensive experience in all manner of property law, including asset management, commercial landlord and tenant, sale and purchase support, large scale project work for real estate and commercial teams, complex one-off pieces of litigation, development issues such as title complexities and vacant possession schemes, trespasser/possession claims, negligence and misrepresentation claims, damages and injunctive relief.
