James is the Managing Partner of Beyond Corporate and Head of the Commercial team. Having led the practice for the past three years, James has been instrumental in the firm’s rapid growth.
With extensive experience both in-house and in private practice, James specialises in commercial contracts, Intellectual Property, and technology transactions. He provides strategic counsel to a diverse portfolio of clients from fast-growth start-ups to globally listed companies on complex commercial agreements, IP protection, franchising, and data privacy.
Highly regarded for his expertise in the retail, manufacturing, and consumer sectors, James previously served as in-house counsel for an international fashion group, giving him a unique “client-side” perspective that defines his pragmatic, commercial approach.
