Before joining Beyond, Moe trained and worked at large international law firms for a decade. He has comprehensive experience of contentious and non-contentious construction law, advising a wide portfolio of clients including private developers, contractors, subcontractors and local government.
His core focus areas are preventive (alternative) dispute resolution and adjudication, advising on claims involving delay disputes, final accounts, pay less notices, termination and formation of contract within the context of bespoke JCT, NEC and IchemE contracts among others.
In contrast to his failed efforts at maintaining a hairline, he is passionate about mitigating and recovering as much loss for his clients as possible by exploring commercially sensible avenues such as mediation and other forms of ADR.
On the non-contentious side, he advises on the negotiation and drafting of standard form building contracts, associated schedule of amendments and the full suite of construction documents. Moe also has considerable experience producing various forms of supplier Framework Agreements, having acted as the primary construction contact for a national supermarket retailer across their full manufacturing and engineering estate.
Moe is also an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (AMICE).
Like the rest of the Beyond team, he is enthusiastic, positive and a very down to earth and easy-to-talk-with lawyer, valued by clients for his responsiveness, straight-talking and simplified approach to complex disputes and projects.
